Nigerian Community of Rhode Island (NCRI) is a non-profit 501(c)3 organization dedicated to improving the lives of Nigerians and Nigerian Americans living in the state of Rhode Island.
The mission of the Corporation is to provide a medium in which ALL Nigerians and Nigerian-American organizations in Rhode Island can meet to seek consensus on social, economic, educational, health and empowerment for our community.
The ultimate goal of the Corporation is to create a united front for inter-organizational cooperation on all issues affecting Nigerians and Nigerian-Americans, without regard to ethnic or tribal origin and also to promote issue that affect the welfare of Nigerian and Nigerian-America in the State of Rhode Island.
We are here to encourage, assist, sponsor, and provide people of Nigerian heritage with opportunities for the development and establishment of business and professional enterprises, especially those whose activities and services could be extended in mutually advantageous ways to all Nigerian and Nigerian-American in the State of Rhode and the United States. .
To bring honor and glory to our Nigerian ancestry in the state of Rhode Island, in particular, and the United States, in general.
To act and to provide vital social support and other relevant help and services to people of Nigerian heritage, especially newly arrived immigrants, and those undergoing adverse conditions.
To promote the cultural and other essential heritage of the Nigerians and Nigerian-Americans

Life Insurance. We are currently researching opportunities to provide life insurance for our members so that families and the community are less impacted. W e are seeking stakeholders who will work collaboratively with us to bring this vision to life.
Nigeria House. Our vision includes the need for a space for Nigerians to call home and that may be used to host meetings, solve problems, share ideas, or just hang out for fun and fellowship. We are in the planning stages of acquiring a space that will be used to serve the needs of all Nigerians in RI.
Woman's Expo and Conference. We want to bring women together for a day of reflection and learning to discuss issues important to them and discuss ways in which women can network for success. W e are seeking stakeholders who will work collaboratively with us to bring this vision to life.
We celebrate our country's independence with prayer, parade, soccer and dance ball.
Community Calendar. Send us your events, announcements, etc., and we will post them so that the entire community can support you and plan for future events.
The Inter-House Sport is a mini Olympic let sport event to geared towards bringing awareness to the need to for daily exercise, improved health and community relationship. The games are for people of all ages
